Are Nike Prestos Good Running Shoes?

Have you been wondering if Nike Prestos are the running shoe for you? They may seem like they would be the perfect shoe to overcome the jogging burnout, but in actuality this is not so. In this article, we will go over all of the details that make a running shoe an effective runner.

The short answer to whether or not Nike Prestos are good running shoes is: no, they are not good for running even though you may want them because of their look.

In order to understand why Nike Prestos are not good for running, we need to examine what is important for a running shoe. The features in a running shoe that will make it the right shoe for you are:

  • Lightweight materials that allow your foot and body to move quickly
  • An outsole that has great traction so you do not slip on wet surfaces
  • Shock absorbent material in the outsole so you can run on hard, uneven surfaces without hurting your feet or legs too badly.

Are Nike Prestos Good Running Shoes?

Unfortunately, Nike Prestos are not good running shoes because they lack many of the features necessary in a running shoe.

As a result, they will not offer you proper support and protection while you run. While on the surface it may seem that the Nike Presto could be good for runners, you must remember that many things can look appealing to consumers without being the right thing to do.

The most important thing you will want in a running shoe is something that is lightweight and flexible. Not only do Nike Prestos not offer this, but they are heavy shoes with stiff materials.

This means when you run, your lower legs and body will be forced to move against the resistance of your shoes. This can cause you to hurt yourself and even lead to injuries which will leave you without any relief from the pain you feel.

You should also consider what you will be running on before you decide to purchase Nike Prestos. While they are good for running on carpet, they are not great runners when it comes to hard surfaces like pavement.

This is because they may be light and flexible, but they do not offer the shock absorbing qualities that would be needed to allow you to run without creating micro-fractures in your feet and legs.

Because of these disadvantages, we cannot suggest that you purchase Nike Prestos as they are going to not provide you with the comfort, support and protection that you need while you are on the road.

Whilst they may fit well enough when you first get them, your feet will likely end up hurting more than being comfortable and you will find yourself making excuses to go back to the store to get a different pair of shoes.

In summary, Nike Prestos are not good running shoes. The materials used in them are not able to retain their shape and feel during long periods of use and the outsole is not able to offer you the shock absorbing qualities required for running.

If you want to continue running, we suggest that you purchase a good pair of running shoes that will provide the comfort and support that you need while out on the road.

Remember, it is very important to choose a shoe that is able to provide a good fit and as much shock absorption as possible. A running shoe should make it easy for your body move without having too much resistance from the materials in them.
